Frequently Asked Questions

What wood does Midlaj Plywood use? +

Nepali timber throughout. Alder, known locally as Uttis, is the premium hardwood and forms the full core of B Grade. Commercial grade uses Uttis with Simal. The core wood is stated on every grade and is never substituted.

What is the difference between B Grade and Commercial? +

B Grade is 100% premium Nepali Uttis core under an Indonesian Gurjan face. Commercial mixes Uttis with Simal under an African Okoume face. The higher the Uttis content, the denser and stronger the board.

What thicknesses and sizes are available? +

6 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 18 mm in both grades. 8x4 in both, with 6x4 and 6x3 also available in Commercial.

How is a mixed order supplied? +

Midlaj Plywood supplies mixed orders on a 3:2:1 size priority: 8x4 first, 6x4 second and 6x3 last. Exact quantities are confirmed with each dealer at the time of order.

Who does Midlaj Plywood supply? +

Wholesalers, distributors and dealers across Nepal, with export to India handled directly by the factory. Builders and contractors are served through the appointed dealer network.
